Steve spent an idyllic weekend in Rome with brilliant results!
On the famous Siena Square, which was again designed as originally as grass course, Steve first won the opening competition with his very consistent Hannah and was 2nd in the Nations Cup with his wonderful Alamo, to the delight of all lovers of elegant horses! He had to accept only 4 points on the water, but they just counted as drop result of the again very homogeneous performing Swiss team.
After a 4th place in the Youngster Finals with his 7-year-old Carenina, he was also 2nd in the "small Grand Prix" on Saturday afternoon with Alamo, who again jumped flawless from start to finish!
A small downer though in the Grand Prix on Sunday, where Bianca had two unusual faults, but they are gladly forgiven her, because many other couples suffered the same fate as they tried to accelerate after a first fault to catch up over the time result to qualify for the winning round.
Tomorrow we are already heading towards St. Gallen and on to the next challenges!
