In the Grand Prix of the Global Champions Tour on Saturday evening in Lausanne, Steve decided to ride the 9 years old gelding Chips. That was a bet for the Olympic Champion how choose to let Nino des Buissonnets in the stables for this GP.
Chips managed this course well for a horse which had never participate in an event of this scale. He committed a little fault on the first round. It would have been great for the public that he can make the second round. But he was 4th on Sunday.
Steve had come in the Olympic capital with his faithful Nino! He preferred to ride him on more modest courses. He made them brilliantly: three clear rounds and one fault in the jump off of the Sundays Grand Prix. Lausanne was the first competition for Nino after winning the Gold Medal in London.
