Less than three months after his Olympic title, Steve Guerdat reaches a new summit. The Swiss rider is from now world N°1 of show jumping.
Year 2012 is the one of all the superlatives for Steve Guerdat. Individual Olympic champion since August 8th in the Olympic Games of London, the Swiss rider occupies since this Tuesday, November 6th, the head of the world rankings of show jumping, the Rolex Rankings.
At 30 years old only, Steve Guerdat is world N°1 of the discipline for the first time of his career thanks to his excellent results throughout the season: 2nd of the World Cup Final, Olympic champion and winner of the Grand Prix of Rio de Janeiro.
Steve Guerdat: "It is a great pleasure to be N°1 and I am very happy to have reached this place. It is an ideal in a career and to reach this first place the same year as my Olympic title is unbelievable. Now I am going to fight to stay there, but without "burning" my horses. I am proud to have arrived there while having succeeded in managing well their career and in treating carefully them."

Steve Guerdat will take part in the CSI ***** of Vienna from Thursday. He will participate then, from November 15th, in the CSI-W of Stuttgart for the 4th stage of the Rolex FEI World Cup.
