This week saw the prestigious CSIO in Aachen, one of the largest annual events in the equestrian world.
Our favorite rider participated once again, and even though success eluded him this weekend, Steve put in a commendable performance.
Venard, faultless in the first round of the Nations Cup, deserved a better team placement than 10th place, as Steve's partners simply did not rise to the occasion: It happens!
Venard had less luck in the Grand Prix on Sunday. A single mistake at the last obstacle of the course prevented a second round, which would have been more than deserved.
In the major events of the weekend, Albführen's Iashin Sitte delivered excellent performances, securing 5th and 8th places, and was the best in each of his outings.
Although Lancelotta seemed somewhat fatigued in Friday's LR after a very good start to the competition (it happens), Lusso Gih Z was placed twice in the Youngsters.
Not the expected success, but overall a good Aachen for Steve and his horses!
